Marko Lelov (born November 21, 1973 in Pärnu , former Estonian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Estonian football player on the position of midfielder and today's football coach.

Career

Club career

Marko Lelov began his professional career as a footballer with Pärnu Kala before moving to JK Pärnu Tervis in the Estonian second division in 1992 . With this team he made promotion to the first division after the 1992/93 season . After leaving the club in 1994, he spent a year at FC Flora Tallinn before returning to JK Pärnu Tervis in 1996. 1997 Lelov moved within the first division to JK Tulevik Viljandi . Here he played until 2003. In 1997, Lelov went to Sweden for almost a year to Nyköpings BIS in the third division . The following year Lelov was awarded within Sweden to Vimmerby IF in the fourth division . In 1999 Lelov returned to Tulevik Viljandi. The 1999 season concluded Tulevik Viljandi with Lelov in second place in the table, which entitled to participate in the Europa League . Here Tulevik Viljandi played in the first round against FK Napredak Kruševac , but retired after a 1: 5 in the first leg and a 1: 1 in the second leg. After playing for Tulevik Viljandi for six years, Lelov moved to FC Haiba in 2004 . Here he stayed for one more season before Lelov ended his playing career in 2005.

National team

For the national team of Estonia Lelov came to three appearances in 1994 and 1995. He made his debut on July 29, 1994 in the Baltic Cup 1994 .

Coaching career

From January to December 2009 Lelov coached JK Tulevik Viljandi , for whom he had played for six years. From October 2012 to December 2013 he coached FC Flora Tallinn , where he had also played in his career. In December 2014, Lelov finally took over the post of coach at Pärnu Linnameeskond , an Estonian first division club from his hometown, where he stayed until December 2015. Lelov is currently not under contract as a coach for any team.
