Rear building (18th century)

The Marktplatz 10 building in Bad Kissingen , the major district town of the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen, is located on the town’s marketplace , is one of the Bad Kissingen monuments and is registered in the Bavarian Monument List under number D-6-72-114-57 .

history

At the location of today's property, Marktplatz 10, there was previously a simpler gabled house . The current property was built in 1907 as a three-storey sandstone building in Art Nouveau style and was built by the Bad Kissingen architect Carl Krampf . The overall design strives for a three-dimensional effect in the sense of Art Nouveau with traditional motifs such as gable and bay window and thus forms a contrast to the Wilhelminian era .

A three-storey rear building is connected to the property facing Obere Markstrasse. This was built as a side eaves building in the second half of the 18th century. Its baroque design is expressed in the arched window frames with wedge stones , the cornice , the cornice and the dormer window .

Today there is a shoe shop in the property with the rear building.
