description
The two-storey, gable-end cripple hipped roof building has two residential floors and two attic floors. The house is part of the Stadtlauringen Marktplatz ensemble and, in a prominent corner location, characterizes the town’s marketplace. The half-timbered house shows typical decorative shapes from the time before the Thirty Years War with head-high struts and St. Andrew's crosses . The window openings with five axes on both sides are provided with wooden frames. The portal can be reached via a small platform staircase. The year 1614 and the coat of arms of Stadtlauringen's office cellar can be seen in its sandstone surround . The double-leaf door with skylight is made in the Biedermeier style.
Inside, the stucco ceilings with bandwork and the spiral staircase to the upper floor are remarkable.
