Markus Böcskör (born October 1, 1982 in Oberwart ) is an Austrian football goalkeeper .

Career

Böcskör's first club was SV Neuberg in the Landesliga and Regionalliga Ost. The goalkeeper moved to the first division for SV Mattersburg in 2002 . At the green and white sports association, he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2003 , but was only a substitute goal. After the move from Raimund Hedl back to Rapid and the injury of his goalkeeper Thomas Borenitsch at Mattersburg , Böcskör also made a total of 13 Bundesliga appearances. At the Indoor Cup 2005 he was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

At the end of August 2006 he moved back to the first division for Kapfenberger SV . He was elected goalkeeper of the season in 2006/07 in the first division by coaches, managers and presidents. For the 2007/08 season he moved to the Kaizer Chiefs in Johannesburg . After only one year in South Africa, Böcskör is returning to Austria. He signs with the second team of FK Austria Wien again in the first division. With the 2008/2009 season, Böcskör moved to the Regionalliga Ost for SC-ESV Parndorf . In the summer of 2011 he returned to the Bundesliga for SV Mattersburg .

For the 2018/19 season he moved to the fourth-class SC Bad Sauerbrunn .

In 2012, 2013 and 2015 Markus Böcskör was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament at the BFV Hallenmasters .
