Markus Beerbaum
Markus Beerbaum (born November 16, 1970 in Adelebsen ) is a German show jumper and trainer.
His greatest sporting successes were winning the World Championships in Rome with the team in 1998 and winning the European Championships in Mannheim 1997 with the team. Markus Beerbaum is the brother of Olympic champion Ludger Beerbaum . He has been married to the show jumper Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum since 1998 , and their daughter was born at the end of February 2010. Meredith and Markus live on the facility of the late world champion Gerd Wiltfang in Thedinghausen .
Beerbaum put his own sporting career behind his wife's career and often supports her at tournaments. He also focuses on training other riders as well as training and selling horses. During his wife's pregnancy, he rode her younger horses.
In the winter months he also celebrated greater successes, especially with his horse Leena (for example at the 2007 World Cup finals). In October 2008 he said goodbye to Leena at the German Classics in Hanover.
