European stork village
The title “European Stork Village” is awarded at irregular intervals by the EuroNatur Foundation (European Natural Heritage) to locations that have a particularly large and regularly recurring population of white storks and are committed to protecting these birds.
So far, 15 European municipalities have been named "European Stork Village". The award tries to strengthen positive approaches in stork protection. The success shows that it is possible today to preserve the habitat for the white storks.
