EuroNatur Prize

The EuroNatur Prize (formerly Euronatur Environment Prize) has been awarded by the nature conservation foundation EuroNatur since 1993. The prize is undoped and is awarded to people who have made an outstanding contribution to nature conservation. The foundation was established in 1987 and is based in Radolfzell on Lake Constance . The aim of the conservation projects selected across Europe is to preserve Europe's natural heritage in all its diversity.

    • Luc Hoffmann in recognition of his lifelong work for the preservation of the European natural heritage

    • Herbert Sukopp , university professor at TU Berlin, for special services in nature conservation.

    • Tilos Island for its longstanding efforts to protect birds, especially for enforcing a hunting ban that has been in place since 1993.
  • 2010
    • Ernst Paul Dörfler was honored in recognition of his many years of commitment to the preservation of the European natural heritage, especially in the Elbe river landscape.

    • Goran Gugic for his outstanding commitment to the protection of the river landscapes on the Sava and Drava.

    • Dr. Mario Broggi, forest engineer and ecologist, for his commitment to protecting biodiversity in Europe.
