Markus Bollmann (born January 6, 1981 in Beckum ) is a former German soccer player .
player
The central defender Bollmann came from the offspring of SpVg Beckum to the then top division club SC Paderborn 07 in the 2000/01 season . In 2001 Bollmann rose with the SCP in the Regionalliga Nord and in 2005 in the Second Bundesliga . In the summer break of 2006, Bollmann moved to Bundesliga club Arminia Bielefeld . There he was used regularly in the second half of the 2006/07 season after getting used to it, so that in May 2009 he extended his contract with Arminia, which was valid for both the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga , until 2012. After Arminia was relegated to the 3rd division , Bollmann moved to the former league competitor MSV Duisburg .
A year of ups and downs followed, in which he only played eleven games. After a protracted adductor injury, his comeback was delayed by an inflammation of the periosteum. In preparation for the 2012/13 season , the 31-year-old suffered a broken metatarsus during training, which meant that he was again unable to complete a first half of the season. For the 2014/15 season, Bollmann moved to the regional division SC Wiedenbrück 2000 . At the beginning of 2016, in consultation with his doctors, Bollmann made the decision to quit after 16 years in paid football due to an inflammation of the left brain hemisphere.
Trainer
In the summer of 2017, Markus Bollmann became the coach of the regional division VfL Sassenberg . From the 2019/20 season he will be assistant coach of the Westphalia division TSV Victoria Clarholz .
