Markus Maria Winkler

Markus Maria Winkler (born June 2, 1975 in Wilhelmshaven ) is a German actor and singer .

Life

After completing his general university entrance qualification and basic military service in Hildesheim, he moved to Munich. During his training at the drama school Zerboni in Munich, he played from 2001 to 2004 in plays by Georges Feydeau , Gotthold Ephraim Lessing and Peter Handke under the direction of Ulrike Behrmann von Zerboni and Raidar Müller-Elmau with guest appearances in Serbia, Italy and Austria.

From 2004 to 2006 he played under the artistic direction of Cordula Trantow at the South Bavarian Theater Festival a. a. in plays by William Shakespeare , Friedrich Dürrenmatt and Hugo von Hofmannsthal and got insights into theater directing as an assistant director.

From 2005 to 2011 he was regularly on tour with the touring theater “Das Ensemble Jacob-Schwiers”. In the play Martha Jellneck by Beate Langmaack , he embodied the character of Thomas, who was doing community service. This piece won 1st prize at Inthega in 2006 . This was followed by tours with the pieces Sara should under the hood of Sam Bobrick and Jedermann by Hugo von Hofmannsthal . With this piece, the Ensemble Jacob-Schwiers also won first prize at Inthega.

In 2006 he and his colleague Jürgen Wegscheider developed the satirical reading LiteraTierisches . Later he got involved in Jürgen Wegscheider's Wilhelm Busch Evening, Buschiaden and other flatteries . With these productions they still perform in German-speaking countries today.

From 2008 to 2014 he played with his colleague Tina-Nicole Kaiser in his musical comedy Hysterische Profilneurosen in major and minor , staged by Barbara Weinzierl .

In 2010 he celebrated his tenth anniversary on stage. On this occasion he took the production The announcer of a striptease number does not give up by Bodo Kirchhoff , staged by Helga Seewann, as well as the travesty show, Die Tante singt , in his repertoire.

In 2012 he trained in clown theater at the “Tamala Clown Academy” in Konstanz and completed his vocal training with the opera, jazz and gospel singer Gail Gilmore.

In 2013 and 2014 he presented his scenic vocal programs Showtime and Broadway Melodies for the first time in Munich .

His Christmas program Magic of Christmas has been on tour in Germany since 2014. Also in 2014, together with Jürgen Wegscheider, he created the staged readings Der Vogel, it seems to me, has a sense of humor and the Kurt Tucholsky program Where do the holes in cheese come from ? In 2015 the theater production Tilhelm Well was added, in collaboration with his colleagues Jürgen Wegscheider and Wulf Schmid Noerr.

In May 2015, Winkler was hired by Carlo Goldoni for the play 1 Mann 2 Jobs (based on The Servant of Two Masters ) , for the role of host Aristide (originally Brighella ) at the FestSpielHaus Munich. For the Christmas season, he and Jürgen Wegscheider designed the reading Humorous Christmas .

His chanson evening We Got Rhythm with pianist Paolo Tatafiore premiered in Munich in 2016.
