Markus Perwanger (born April 17, 1955 in Bolzano ) is an Italian journalist and former politician ( SVP ) from South Tyrol .

biography

Perwanger spent his childhood in Radein , a fraction of Aldein , and then attended the Franciscan high school in Bozen . At the University of Florence he studied political science with a focus on administrative law ; his thesis dealt with spatial planning in South Tyrol and the closed courtyard . As a journalist, Perwanger worked at the press office of the South Tyrolean provincial government , in the hotelier and restaurant association HGV and in the publishing house Athesia . From 1985 to 1988 he represented the South Tyrolean People's Party in the Bolzano municipal council.

Perwanger has been with Rai Südtirol since 1988 . In 1995 he became chief executive , in 1998 deputy editor-in-chief, and in 1999 editor-in-chief. In addition to his journalistic activities, the author has lectured numerous reports for radio and television at the Institute for the Promotion of Young Journalists as well as at the Free University of Bozen and the University of Innsbruck . Perwanger Rai has been the coordinator of South Tyrol since 2006. In 2011 he was awarded the Golden Decoration of Honor of the Republic of Austria . Since 2017 he has been a representative of the minority press in the National Council of the Chamber of Journalists in Rome as well as a certified tour guide . Perwanger lives in Bolzano.
