Markus Richwien (* 5. July 1985 in Magdeburg ) is a German handball player , who most recently with the cadets Schaffhausen in the Swiss National League A played. The left-handed player's playing position is right-winger .

Richwien began his active career in 2005 at SC Magdeburg . Since 2000 he has played in the club in all grades of youth teams. Due to a production license , he could later be used for both the second team of the SCM and the first. In 2006 he moved to the second division team Füchse Berlin , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2007. In 2014 he won the DHB Cup with the Foxes . For the 2014/15 season he moved to the Kadetten Schaffhausen. With the Kadetten Schaffhausen he won the championship in 2015, 2016 and 2017 and the SHV-Cup in 2016 . After the 2016/17 season he left the Kadetten Schaffhausen.

For Germany he has played 17 international matches so far, in which he scored 34 goals.

Richwien is married (since 2016) and a banker by profession.
