Markus Tomczyk

Markus Tomczyk (* 1980 in Steinfurt ) is a German actor.

Life

Markus Tomczyk grew up in the Black Forest and came into contact with the art of acting for the first time through a community college course . After graduating from secondary school , Markus Tomczyk gained further qualifications and finally passed the Abitur at the Zinsendorf Schools in Königsfeld . He completed a theater internship in Augsburg. In 2003 he began his studies at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin , which he graduated in 2007 with a diploma.

After graduating, he worked at the Württemberg State Theater in Esslingen and starred in various television films. For his role as Jan Hartmann in the television film Braams - No Murder Without a Corpse , he won the Günter Strack television award for best young actor.

In 2014 he completed the Master of Arts in dance mediation in a contemporary context at the University of Music and Dance Cologne . During his studies he specialized in the combination of spoken and dance theater and developed the "Speech Dance Method", which he teaches in workshops and uses in his own work. In 2015 he founded the company "Tripletrips" with his fellow student Nikos Konstantakis. The first performance Meat Market was shown at the festival "west off 2014-Theaternetzwerk Rheinland".

Since October 2017 he has been a lecturer at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts.
