Markus Vahlefeld

Markus Vahlefeld (born February 18, 1966 in Hong Kong ) is a German - British author , wine expert and publicist .

biography

Vahlefeld attended school in Hamburg , graduated from high school in Washington, DC and studied philosophy in Berlin and Barcelona . In 1992 he founded a private school , which he was managing director until 1997. In the following years he wrote scripts and produced films. In 2007 he turned his hobby oenology into a profession, since then has been advising wineries in Germany and blogging about wine and winemakers. Trips to Israeli wineries aroused his interest in the way Germans deal with Israel . He has published two books, is a regular author on the Axis of the Good and guest author on The European .

In his book Just a quick way to save the world: The Germans between megalomania and self-denial , which has now been published in its fifth edition, he dealt with the welcoming culture and the energy transition in Germany from 2015. Henryk M. Broder wrote the foreword .

Vahlefeld lives in Cologne and has an office in a wine village in Rheinhessen .
