Marlies Amann-Marxer (born July 31, 1952 in Eschen ; born Marlies Marxer ) is a Liechtenstein politician ( VU ). From 2013 to 2017 she was a member of the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein as a member of the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein as a member of the government responsible for the Ministry of Infrastructure, Environment and Sport, and from 2005 to 2013 she was a member of the Liechtenstein parliament for two legislative periods .

biography

Marlies Amann-Marxer attended the St. Elisabeth commercial school in Schaan , where she graduated with a commercial diploma in 1969. This was followed by language and professional stays in Neuchâtel , Geneva and Torquay in 1970 and 1974/75. At the same time, from 1970 on, she worked in numerous commercial professions at the Liechtensteinische Landesbank , the IRSHA International Steel Trading Company and the Pattchom Int. Closely. AG in Vaduz. From 1989 to 1995 she worked in her husband's company, Amann Architektur AG, in the areas of human resources, accounting and finance. From 1993 to 2001 she was a lay judge at the Liechtenstein Criminal Court and from 1997 to 2003 a substitute lay judge at the administrative complaints authority .

Amann-Marxer gained her first political experience from 1999 to 2005 in various community commissions and from 2000 in the community council of her home community Eschen, where she was a full member of the schools department. In 2005, Marlies Amann-Marxer was elected to the Landtag of the Principality of Liechtenstein for the first time for the Patriotic Union. As a Member of Parliament, she was a member of the Foreign Policy Commission from 2005 and from 2005 to 2009 as a deputy in the Liechtenstein delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE . From 2009 she was a member of the EEA Commission.

After the state elections in February 2013 , Marlies Amann-Marxer was elected to the government by the Liechtenstein state parliament. As a member of the government, she headed the Ministry of Infrastructure, Environment and Sport from March 27, 2013. As a result of the 2017 state election , Amann-Marxer resigned from the government office with the inauguration of the new government on March 30, 2017.

On June 8, 2017, she was awarded the Commander's Cross of the Princely Liechtenstein Order of Merit .

Personal

Marlies Amann-Marxer is married and has four children, two sons and two daughters. She lives with her husband in Eschen .
