Marta Emmenegger
Marta Emmenegger (born October 18, 1923 in Altstätten ; † December 10, 2001 in Zurich ) was a Swiss journalist and sex consultant .
Life
Marta Emmenegger, née Buschor, attended schools in Zurich and completed a commercial apprenticeship. In 1945 she married the reporter Kurt Emmenegger. As a journalist, she first worked as a columnist on educational issues for Annabelle magazine , and later as an editor for Annette magazine. From 1980 to 1996 she was a sex and partnership advisor for the Swiss tabloid Blick . With her extremely popular “Dear Marta” section, she made a significant contribution to removing taboos on sexual issues by being the first in Switzerland to answer readers' questions. She also moderated the advisory program "Sex nach Neun" on Radio Z on Monday evenings for several years . For many Swiss people, her name has become synonymous with sex counseling. Columnist Eliane Schweitzer succeeded her at Blick in 1996 .
Marta Emmenegger died on December 10, 2001 at the age of 78 of heart failure in her apartment in Zurich. Around 70 friends and relatives attended the farewell ceremony on December 17, 2001 in St. Peter's Church .
Marta Emmenegger was divorced and had three children.
