Marta Kristen

Marta Kristen (born February 26, 1945 in Norway ), actually Birgit Annalisa Rusanen , is an American actress .

Life

Kristen was born in Norway to a Finnish and a German daughter. Her father died in World War II and her mother put her up for adoption . In 1949 she was adopted by an American family from Detroit who named her Marta. Ten years later, she moved to Los Angeles with her family and attended high school in Santa Monica .

In the early 1960s she received various guest roles in television series such as Dr. Kildare and Solo for ONKEL , before she received one of the leading roles in the series Lost Between Strange Worlds in 1965 , which she played in 84 episodes until 1968, and through which she became known nationwide in the USA. After the series ended, she first turned to the upbringing of her daughter, who was born in 1969, and played only a few roles during the 1970s and 1980s, mainly in series. She had feature film roles in men like the tigers and sador - rulers in space . She made a cameo in the remake Lost in Space .

Kristen is a second marriage and has two children.
