Marta Lambertini

Marta Lambertini (born November 13, 1937 in Buenos Aires ; † March 26, 2019 there ) was an Argentine composer .

Lambertini studied composition at the Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) until 1972 with Luis Gianneo , Roberto Caamaño and Gerardo Gandini . She continued her training at the Centro de Investigaciones en comunicación Masiva, Arte y Tecnología (CICMAT) with Gerardo Gandini, Francisco Kröpfl , José Ramón Maranzano and Gabriel Brnčić . She then taught u. a. at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata , at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música and is a professor at the UCA.

She composed chamber music and symphonic works, pieces for solo instruments, songs and several chamber operas. In 1974 she was awarded the Premio Nacional de Música for her Serenata for instrumental ensemble .

She died in Buenos Aires in March 2019.
