Marte Leinan Lund (born April 1, 2001 ) is a Norwegian Nordic combined athlete .

Career

Leinan Lund, who starts for Tolga IL , made her international debut on February 9, 2016 in the Youth Cup . As part of this competition, she reached the podium once. She won her first medal with second place at the Norwegian Summer Championships 2017 in Lillehammer .

In the first edition of the Continental Cup , Leinan Lund started for the first time on January 21, 2018 in Rena , where she finished seventh. While this appearance was her only participation in the Continental Cup this season, she competed more often in this series of competitions in winter 2018/19 . Her best placement of the season she achieved with fifth place again in Rena. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2019 in Lahti , Leinan Lund took 14th place. The season she finished in tenth place in the overall standings. In addition, she became Norwegian champion in the team sprint together with Gyda Westvold Hansen at the end of March .

In summer 2019, Leinan Lund made his debut in the Grand Prix . On August 24, 2019, she and Magnus Krog , Gyda Westvold Hansen and Harald Johnas Riiber took second place in the first mixed team competition. In the overall ranking she reached eighth place. A few weeks later she was nominated for Norway's first female national squad. In the opening competition of the 2019/20 Continental Cup in Park City , Leinan Lund reached the podium for the first time as third behind Tara Geraghty-Moats and Gyda Westvold Hansen. At the end of January, Leinan Lund won her first Continental Cup race in Rena at home . At the Nordic Junior Ski World Championships 2020 in Oberwiesenthal , she finished fifth.
