Harald Johnas Riiber (born April 8, 1995 probably in Oslo ) is a Norwegian Nordic combined athlete .

Career

Harald Johnas Riiber took part in the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck . In the only competition in the Nordic combined, he finished sixth. On March 15, 2013 he made his debut in the Nordic Combined Continental Cup , when he was in a team sprint, which in Finnish Rovaniemi , together with Sigmund Kielland scored the 14th place took place. On February 19, 2017, with third place in Planica, Slovenia , he achieved his only podium finish in this competition series to date.

At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2014 , he reached eighth place in the individual. The 2015 Junior World Ski Championships were more successful when he won the bronze medal in the team competition together with Simen Tiller , Jarl Magnus Riiber and Lars Buraas .

He made his debut in the Nordic Combined World Cup on December 5, 2015 in Lillehammer . He achieved his first World Cup points on February 4, 2017 in Pyeongchang , South Korea , when he finished 26th in the first competition there. Riiber's best result so far in the World Cup followed a week later in Sapporo, Japan, with 19th place.

Riiber is the older brother of Jarl Magnus (* 1997), who is also active as a Nordic combined athlete.
