Marte Monrad-Hansen (born July 22, 1987 ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Monrad-Hansen made her debut in the cross-country skiing world cup in March 2006 at Holmenkollen in Oslo , where she finished 47th over 30 km freestyle. In December 2006 she achieved her first top 5 placement in the Scandinavian Cup with fourth place over 10 km freestyle in Vuokatti and won silver in the skiathlon at the 2007 Junior World Championships in Tarvisio . In February 2007 Monrad-Hansen reached her first podium in the Scandinavian Cup with second place over 10 km freestyle in Jõulumäe . At the World Cup in Falun in March 2007, she finished fifth with the second Norwegian relay. Monrad-Hansen achieved her next podium finish in the Scandinavian Cup in February 2012 with second place in the 15 km freestyle mass start race in Madona ; achieved her first World Cup points in March 2012 with 28th place in the 30 km mass start race in the classic technique on Holmenkollen. Monrad-Hansen achieved her best placement in the overall ranking of the Scandinavian Cup in the 2012/13 season with ninth place.
