Martin Kohz

Martin Kohz (born November 2, 1902 in Posen ; † March 11, 1971 ) was a German politician of the All-German Bloc / Association of Expellees and Disenfranchised .

Life and work

Kohz had a doctorate in law. Kohz was a member of the Stahlhelm from 1922 to 1925 . In October 1930 he joined the NSDAP and a little later the SS . In November 1933 he applied for a position in the SA judicial administration. He wrote: "That I was one of the first lawyers in Pomerania to join the movement and probably the first lawyer as an SA man". After the war, in February 1948, in the course of denazification, it was initially classified in category IV (fellow travelers), by the law of June 17, 1950 in category V. Christina Schubert writes in her work about the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament members after 1945 (see . Lit.) that Kohz should actually have been classified in stage III in his past.

In Schleswig-Holstein he worked as a lawyer and notary.

MP

From 1950 to 1954 Kohz was a member of the state parliament in Schleswig-Holstein . He represented the constituency of Eutin- West in parliament. From March 19 to August 6, 1954 he was deputy Chairman of the Parliament's Committee on Justice.

The Schleswig-Holstein Landtag sent Kohz to the second Federal Assembly , which on July 1, 1954 re-elected Theodor Heuss as Federal President.

Public offices

From February 14, 1953 to August 6, 1954, Kohz was Parliamentary Representative of the State Minister of Justice of Schleswig-Holstein .
