Martin Meichelbeck (born November 21, 1976 in Bamberg ) is a former German soccer player . He was preferred as a central defender or as a left defender.

Career

Meichelbeck, who comes from Franconia , played as a youth first for FC Baunach (until 1990), then for 1. FC Nürnberg (from 1990 to 1993). The next stations were then 1. FC Bamberg (1993-1996) and Jahn Forchheim (1996-1998). He began his professional career in 1998 with the second division team SpVgg Greuther Fürth , for whom he played until 2000, before moving to VfL Bochum for a transfer fee of 750,000 euros .
