Martin Pflug (born October 30, 1886 in Posen , Province of Posen ; † January 19, 1945 in Wittenberge , Prignitz ) was a German organ builder in Wittenberge.

Life

The parents were probably Hermann Theodor Gotthold Pflug (* 1860/61) and Anna Marie, née Henkel (* 1864/65) in Posen . Martin Pflug had been working in Prignitz since 1915 at the latest , where he built his first organ in Bälow . He may have worked for the organ builder Rudolf Piper in Perleberg for a while. After 1917 he installed new prospect pipes in some of the Prignitz churches on behalf of Faber & Greve . These assignments were carried out with documents from the late Piper.

In 1926, Pflug passed his master craftsman examination. He then worked in Wittenberge until 1944. A successor is not known.

Organs (selection)

Martin Pflug built a number of organs in the Prignitz, carried out modifications, repairs and maintenance and after 1917 installed new prospect pipes in many churches. The large organ in Wittenberge and the instruments in Bälow and Groß Warnow have been preserved .
