Martin Schuck

Martin Schuck (* 1961 ) is a German Protestant theologian , pastor and publicist .

Life

Schuck studied Protestant theology in Mainz. After passing the first exam, he was accepted into the vicariate of the Evangelical Church of the Palatinate in 1989 and ordained pastor in 1991 . From 1998 he worked as a scientific advisor at the denominational institute in Bensheim. Since 2009 he has been the publishing director of Verlagshaus Speyer GmbH. Schuck received his PhD in 1998 at the Evangelical Theological Faculty of the University of Tübingen. theol. PhD.

Schuck works as a publicist and publishes on the topics of church and society, theology, philosophy and history . In particular, he conducts research in the field of Protestantism and its effects on society.

In 1989, the last year of its existence, he worked as editor of the church-critical magazine “ The Voice of the Congregation ”. Schuck has been editor of the Pfälzisches Pfarrerblattes since 1996 and has been a member of the editorial board of the German Pfarrerblatt since 1999 . He is editor of the journal Evangelical Orientation and lecturer for systematic theology at the University of Koblenz-Landau .
