Martin Czechne

Martin Czechne (* 1954 ) is a German journalist, publicist and author.

Life

Martin Chechne is the son of the journalist and publicist Wolfgang Chechne . He studied psychology in Trier and at the Emory University in Atlanta , received his doctorate with the thesis The Control Concept of Particularly Able Students and completed his journalistic training at the Henri-Nannen-Schule in Hamburg. He was an editor and reporter for NDR . In 1988 he went to the art magazine art as an editor , where he became text editor in 1993. In 2000 he became editor-in-chief at Hörzu . In 2005 he joined Geo as head of text .

From 2006 to 2009 Martin Chechne was editor-in-chief and then publisher of the art magazine Weltkunst in Munich.

Czechne is a member of the jury for the award of the Wilhelm Busch Prize and in 2007 gave the laudation for the winner Vicco von Bülow .
