history

Martynivske was built in 1913 as part of the construction of a railway station opened in 1914 and electrified in 1972 on the railway line between Voznesensk and Wesselynove . Until 1930 the settlement consisted of 4 to 5 huts directly at the train station. In 1953 an airfield was built north of the village. An air regiment was stationed at the airfield, which was equipped with Ilyushin Il-10 , MIG-15 and MIG-17 aircraft and over time had Sukhoi Su-7 , MIG-27 and MIG-29 . Martyniwske became a garrison that was connected to the power grid in 1961. A kindergarten, a school, a post office and a church were built in the village. On November 1, 2003, the regiment was disbanded.
