The Marusarzowa Turnia (Slovak: Ondrejova veža ) is a mountain in the High Tatras with an altitude of 2075 m npm on the Polish - Slovak border.
Location and surroundings
Below the summit lie the Dolina Rybiego Potoku in the west (Poland) and Dolina Białki in the east (Slovakia).
The peak lies above the Owcza Przełęcz pass , which separates it from the Owcze Turniczki peaks , and the Marusarzowa Przełączka pass , which separates it from the Żabi Szczyt Niżni .
etymology
The name Marusarzowa Turnia can be translated as Marusarz Tower . It is named after the mountain guide Jędrzej Marusarz Jarząbek , who led the first mountaineers to the summit in 1905.
tourism
The Marusarzowa Turnia is not on any marked hiking trail. However, it is accessible to climbers with a permit from the administration of one of the national parks . The shelters Schronisko PTTK nad Morskim Okiem and Schronisko PTTK w Dolinie Roztoki are suitable starting points for an ascent .
