Maruschka Waldus (born September 20, 1992 in Heerenveen ) is a Dutch soccer player .
Career
Waldus grew up in Heerenveen and made her debut in 2011 for SC Heerenveen in the Dutch honor division , where she finished last with her team. From 2012 the team played in the newly established BeNe League , a joint league of the Netherlands and Belgium . At the same time, she took over the position of team captain . For Heerenveen, she completed 68 first division games and scored nine goals.
In the summer of 2014, Waldus moved to the USA and joined the Alabama Crimson Tide team at the University of Alabama . There she scored three goals in 20 games. At the end of the season she was signed by Sky Blue FC from the New York City area . She was the first Dutch woman to play in the National Women's Soccer League .
Since no further missions followed, Waldus moved to the Swedish first division club Mallbackens IF in the summer of 2015 . There she completed twelve missions and scored one goal. In January 2016, he switched to the German Bundesliga club 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam . On June 16, 2016, the defender and midfielder's contract was dissolved in Potsdam and signed a day later in the Netherlands with FC Twente Enschede .
