Marvin Sommer (born November 28, 1991 in Bad Belzig ) is a German handball player who is currently playing for the second division VfL Gummersbach .

Career

Marvin Sommer played for 1. VfL Potsdam since 2003 , for whom he played in the third division . For the 2013/14 season , the 1.79-meter-tall left winger moved to the second division EHV Aue . After he had to pause the entire second half of the season due to the illness with Pfeiffer glandular fever , he was the EHV's top scorer with 179 goals in the following season 2014/15 . In the summer of 2015, Sommer joined the Bundesliga club SC DHfK Leipzig and stayed until the end of the 2016/17 season. He then kept fit with the major league team HC Einheit Plauen. In mid-August 2017, Sommer was signed by VfL Gummersbach , who responded to an injury misery in Sommer's position on the left wing.
