Mary McCartney

Mary Anna McCartney (born August 28, 1969 in London ) is a British photographer .

Life

She is the first child of Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney . She has an older half-sister Heather Louise (born December 31, 1962), a sister Stella Nina (born September 13, 1971), a brother James Louis (born September 12, 1977) and a younger half-sister Beatrice Milly (born October 28, 2003 ). Mary McCartney has four sons, two with her first husband, Alistair Donald, and two with her second husband, Simon Aboud.

McCartney began her career as a photographer in her mid-twenties, specializing in fashion and portraits . Those portrayed include Kate Moss , Lou Reed , Jude Law, and Joss Stone . In 2000, she photographed Madonna and Guy Ritchie's wedding . She also took the first photos of Tony and Cherie Blair with their son Leo.

McCartney photographs campaigns against fur for the animal welfare organization “ People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals ” (PETA). Since the death of her mother Linda in 1998, Mary McCartney has been involved with British breast cancer activists.

Exhibitions

  • 2004: Floral Hall, Royal Opera House , London. Here she presented photos showing the dancers of this opera house at work and in private life.
