Massimo Colomba (born August 24, 1977 in Villars-sur-Glâne ) is a former Swiss football player ( goalkeeper ) and current goalkeeper coach with Italian roots. He grew up in the canton of Friborg .

Colomba started his career in Villars-sur-Glâne . From the 2002/03 season he played as a goalkeeper for FC Aarau in the Axpo Super League . At the beginning of the 2007/08 season he was ousted by Ivan Benito and at the end of the season did not get a new contract for cost reasons. He then moved to the Grasshopper Club Zurich as a substitute goalkeeper behind Eldin Jakupović . Just a year later he moved to FC Basel as a substitute goalkeeper behind Franco Costanzo .

At the end of the 2011/2012 season, Colomba ended his career as a professional footballer and has been working as a goalkeeper coach at FC Basel since the 2012/2013 season.
