Eldin Jakupović (born October 2, 1984 in Kozarac ) is a football goalkeeper with Swiss and Bosnian-Herzegovinian citizenship.

Career

society

Jakupović began his career at FC Bilten and FC Niederurnen. In 1999 he switched to the offspring of the Grasshopper Club Zurich . After five years he made the leap into the first team of the city of Zurich, where the goalkeeper came to 13 missions in the 2004/05 season. In 2005 Jakupović was loaned to FC Thun for two years , where he made a major contribution to qualifying for the UEFA Champions League with his parades . In March 2006 he moved to Russia to the Premjer League club Lokomotiv Moscow . From 2007 to 2009 it was awarded to the Grasshopper Club Zurich.

On September 29, 2007 Jakupović scored the first goal in his professional career (out of the game). He secured a point in the 94 'minute GCZ with the equalization to 3: 3 against BSC Young Boys .

In July 2010 Jakupović signed a three-year contract with the Greek first division club Olympiakos Volos .

National team

Jakupović played two games for the U21 national team of Bosnia-Herzegovina. In March 2007 he was called up for the A international match against Norway, but not used. On May 19, 2008 Jakupović was subsequently called up for the Swiss EM squad , since Fabio Coltorti was injured, but he was not used. His only appearance at the "Nati" was in Switzerland's 4-1 win in the friendly against Cyprus on August 20, 2008.
