Hamza Dewan Choudhury (born October 1, 1997 in Loughborough ) is an English football player who plays as a midfielder for Leicester City .

Club career

Choudhury began his career at the Leicester City Academy. He was loaned to Burton Albion in League One for a month on February 27, 2016 . He made his debut in Football League One later that day and was substituted on for Tom Naylor in a 0-0 draw against FC Walsall at Pirelli Stadium in the 77th minute . On August 6, 2016, Choudhury was loaned to Burton Albion again, this time for the entire 2016/17 season. On the same day, Choudhury played in Burton Albion's first Football League Championship game and prepared a goal in a 3-4 loss to Nottingham Forest .

Choudhury made his debut for Leicester City on 19 September 2017 when he came on as a substitute in the 82nd minute of a League Cup match against Liverpool . Choudhury made his Premier League debut for Leicester on November 28, 2017, when Hotspur came on in the 83rd minute of a home win against Tottenham . His first starting eleven in the Premier League took place on April 14, 2018, in a 1: 2 away defeat against Burnley FC . He scored his first goal for the club on January 1, 2020 in a 3-0 away win over Newcastle United .
