The Pirelli Stadium is the football stadium of the Burton Albion football club from Burton-upon-Trent . Burton-upon-Trent is located in the county of Staffordshire in the English region of West Midlands .

history

The stadium, inaugurated on July 16, 2005, now offers 6,912 seats (including 2,034 seats) and replaced Eton Park , which was built in 1958 . The construction cost was around £ 6.8m (about € 7.72m ). The stadium was opened by Barbara Clough, the widow of footballer and coach Brian Clough , Sir Alex Ferguson and Dominic Sandivasci from Pirelli .

The venue consists of four covered grandstands called the Main Stand (main tier), Popular Side (opposite stand ), East Terrace (east back grandstand ) and West Terrace (west back grandstand ). The stadium has 2,034 seats in the main stand; while the opposite grandstand and the two rear grandstands are purely standing room. The guest fans are based on the East Terrace with 1,200 seats; in addition, there are 300 seats in the main tier. In the main stand is u. a. the Burton Albion office and several conference rooms (the largest room with 300 seats).

Visitor record and average attendance

The attendance record was set in the Football League Championship game between Burton Albion and Derby County (1-0). A total of 6,746 fans came to the game on August 26, 2016 in the Pirelli Stadium.
