Dennis Praet (born May 14, 1994 in Leuven ) is a Belgian football player who currently plays for Leicester City .
Career
society
In his youth, Praet first played for Stade Löwen , Oud-Heverlee Löwen and KRC Genk before he was signed by RSC Anderlecht in August 2010 . A year later he was promoted to its professional team. Praet made his Jupiler Pro League debut on October 30, 2011 (12th matchday) in the home game against Lierse SK (4-0), when he came on for Fernando Canesin in the 61st minute . On March 24th he signed a contract until June 30th, 2015. For the 2016/17 season , the Belgian moved to the Italian Serie A at Sampdoria Genoa . With the Genoese he signed a contract valid until June 30, 2021.
After three years in Italy he left his contract in Genoa prematurely and signed with the English first division club Leicester City .
National team
From the U-16s onwards, Praet went through all the youth teams of the Belgian Football Association . On February 28, 2012 he made his debut in the home game for the U-19s against Estonia (6-0) and scored two goals. He had his first game in the senior national team on November 12, 2014 in a friendly against Iceland, when he was substituted on fourteen minutes before the end of the game.
After that he was not included in the national team's squad until 2018 or played for the U-21 team on the same date . From 2018 he played three friendly matches, and on October 13, 2019 he played for the first time over the full season in the qualifier for the 2020 European Championship against Kazakhstan . Belgium had already qualified for the finals at this point.
