Massimo Pedrazzini (born February 3, 1958 in Milan ) is a former Italian football player and current coach .

Career

The former midfielder, who played mostly in Serie B and Serie C1 , rose four times during his playing career. With US Triestina and FC Catanzaro he rose to Serie B, with AC Mantova in Serie C1 and with US Fiorenzuola in Serie C2.

After his playing career, Pedrazzini became a coach and worked from 1991 to 1996 in the youth department of AC Milan . From 2002 to 2003 he gained his first experience as head coach of the Serie C2 club AC Monza Brianza and later joined Walter Zenga's coaching staff and worked with him at Steaua Bucharest , FK Red Star Belgrade , Gaziantepspor and the Al Ain Club . On September 20, 2007 Pedrazzini was after Gheorghe Hagis resignation in the meantime head coach of Steaua Bucharest. On October 28, 2007 Pedrazzini was replaced by Marius Lăcătuș , but accepted to remain as an assistant coach. He was also taken over by Dorinel Munteanu , in whose intermezzo as Steaua coach in November 2008, before Lăcătuș was head coach again. After his release in May 2009, Pedrazzini supervised the team for the last three games of the 2008/09 season . In the summer of 2009 he became Walter Zenga's assistant coach at US Palermo . After his release on November 23, 2009, Pedrazzini's contract was also terminated.
