Massimo Taibi (born February 19, 1970 in Palermo , Italy ) is a former Italian football player .

Career

Taibi started playing professional football at Polisportiva Licata . After a loan to Trento Calcio in 1921 , he moved to AC Milan , for which he was not used for the time being. After a loan to Como Calcio , where he played regularly, he moved to Piacenza Calcio . For Piacenza, he completed 177 games in five years and was the undisputed regular goalkeeper. After the good performance at Piacenza, Milan signed him again. After a few assignments, however, it was awarded again, this time to AC Venice in 1907 .

After some good appearances for Venice, the English top club Manchester United became aware of Taibi. So he moved to ManU in summer 1999 . After conceding eleven goals in four league games and a serious mistake, he was not considered further. This led to a move back to Italy: In January 2000, Reggina Calcio took him on. There he was not only able to convince in 52 games, but also score a goal as a goalkeeper. In 2001 Taibi moved to Atalanta Bergamo , where he played 131 games in four years. After two more years at FC Turin , he let his career with Ascoli Calcio end from 2007 to 2009 .
