history

The Mate Balota was built under the hull number 481 at Titivo Brodogradilište in Kraljevica and was launched in 1988 and put into service. The ship is named after the Croatian scientist and writer Mate Balota (1898–1963). It was first used on the route from Valbiska ( Krk ) to Merag on the island of Cres . It was then used around Zadar , for example on the Zadar– Bršanj ( ) - Rava line and on the Zadar– Preko line .
