Mathea (born July 13, 1998 in Bruck an der Großglocknerstrasse , Salzburg ; real name Mathea Elisabeth Höller ) is an Austrian singer .

life and career

Höller comes from Bruck an der Großglocknerstrasse. After graduating from the BORG Gastein , she took part in the 6th season of the singing casting show The Voice of Germany in summer and autumn 2016 and came in the coaching group of Yvonne Catterfeld to the Sing Offs, the third phase of Competition.

In October 2018 Mathea released her debut single 2x , in which she tells of a failed relationship and her attempt to find a way out. The song entered the Austrian charts in January 2019 and reached number one in the Ö3 Austria Top 40 just two months later . A little later it also made it into the German single charts. It also rose to number one on the Ö3 listener charts. In May 2019 the single reached platinum status in Austria. In January 2019 she was included on YouTube in the ten artists list Artists to Watch for the year 2019. Her follow-up single Chaos also made it to number six in the charts.

Höller has lived in Vienna since 2017 . Her role models include Alicia Keys and RAF Camora .
