Mathias Achatz (* 1981 in Neukirchen bei Heiligen Blut ) is a German trumpeter .

life and career

Mathias Achatz attended the vocational school for music in the Upper Palatinate district in Sulzbach-Rosenberg from 1996 to 1998 . He then studied trumpet with Wolfgang Guggenberger at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich until 2004 . He also took the master class with Haakån Hardenberger in Malmö, Sweden, and completed advanced training with Matthias Höfs and Hans Gansch . This was followed by master classes a. a. with Allen Vizzutti and Ole Edvard Antonsen .

In the 2000/2001 season, Achatz was appointed to the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra . In addition to various ensemble and solo concerts, he also takes part in the BR-Brass Ensemble and the Ensemble Classique . He also plays with some wind orchestras, such as B. Guido Henn and his golden brass music , the original Egerland chapel or the Wolfgang Grünbauer brass orchestra . Since 2016 Achatz has been playing with the "Oktoberfest Band Mathias Achatz" at the Oktoberfest in the Ochsenbraterei .

Mathias Achatz lives in the Pitzling district of Pemflingen .
