Mathias Ntawulikura

Mathias Ntawulikura (born July 14, 1964 in Gisovu near Kibuye in the Western Province ) is a Rwandan long-distance runner .

Life

At the 10,000-meter run of the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo in 1991 , he finished seventh, at the 5000-meter run at the 1993 World Championships in Stuttgart tenth and at the 10,000-meter run at the 1995 World Championships in Gothenburg, he finished 15th.

He took part in the Olympic Games four times. At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona he failed in the 10,000 m run, at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta he was eighth over this distance, at the marathon of the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney he came in 15th place, and at the Olympic marathon Games in Athens in 2004, he finished 62nd.

Mathias Ntawulikura still holds (as of November 2007) three national records: over 3000 m (7: 41.64 min, August 16, 1992 in Cologne ), 5000 m (13: 11.29 min, June 9, 1992 in Rome ) and over the marathon distance (2:09:55 h, placed seventh in the 2000 London Marathon ). He achieved his best time over 10,000 m (27: 25.48 min) on August 23, 1996 in Brussels .
