Mathilde of Bavaria (1313-1346)
Mathilde von Bayern (also Mechthild , * 1313 ; † 1346 ) was a Roman-German princess and by marriage Märkgräfin von Meißen .
She was a daughter of Emperor Ludwig IV (* 1282; † 1347) and Beatrix von Schlesien-Schweidnitz (* 1290; † 1322).
Her burial place was probably like that of her husband in Altzella Monastery .

She married Friedrich II , Margrave of Meissen and Landgrave of Thuringia in Nuremberg in 1328 . She had nine children with him:
- Elisabeth (born November 22, 1329 at the Wartburg, † April 21, 1375) ⚭ Friedrich V , burgrave of Nuremberg;
- Friedrich (* 1330, † December 6, 1330);
- Friedrich III. der Strenge (* 1332; † 1381), Margrave of Meissen and Landgrave of Thuringia;

- Beatrix (born September 1, 1339 at the Wartburg, † July 25, 1399 in Seusslitz), nun in Weißenfels ;
- Ludwig von Meißen (born February 25, 1341 on the Wartburg, † February 17, 1382), Prince-Bishop of Halberstadt, Prince-Bishop of Bamberg, Elector-Archbishop of Mainz and Archbishop of Magdeburg ;
- Wilhelm I the One-Eyed (* 1343; † 1407), Margrave of Meissen;
- Anne (born August 7, 1345 in Dresden, † March 22, 1363 in Seusslitz), abbess in Seusslitz ;
- Clara (born August 7, 1345 in Dresden).
