Matt Moran is an American jazz musician ( vibraphone , percussion ) and arranger of the modern creative .

Matt Moran earned a Masters in Jazz Composition from the New England Conservatory in 1995 , where he studied with Joe Maneri . After moving to New York, he worked a. a. in the bands of Paul Flaherty , Ellery Eskelin , Mat Maneri , Theo Bleckmann , Daniel Levin , William Parker , Reuben Radding , Sufjan Stevens and Nate Wooley and as a musician and arranger in the Claudia Quintet with John Hollenbeck and in the band Sideshow , as well as a percussionist with Balkan folk bands like thatKavala Brass Band, Zlatne Uste Balkan Brass Band and Slavic Soul Party! . In 1995 his debut album Blurred and Somewhat Indistinct was released

Moran is not to be confused with the hardcore musician of the same name ("Satronica") or with the Australian television chef (* 1969).
