Matteo Busato (born December 20, 1987 in Castelfranco Veneto ) is an Italian cyclist .
Career
Matteo Busato was second in a section of the Tour de l'Avenir in 2008 and he also finished second behind the winner Maciej Paterski in the points classification . In 2011 Busato won the Giro della Regione Friuli .
Busato received a contract with Team Idea for 2012 and was able to win the Giro del Medio Brenta in the same year and the Gran Premio Capodarco the following year . The victory at Kreiz Breizh Elites was his greatest success to date. In the following years there were no further victories. The best results were a sixth place at the Tour of Qinghai Lake 2015, a second place at the Memorial Marco Pantani 2015, a third place at the Tour de Korea 2018 and another third place at the Tour de la Mirabelle 2019.
