Matteo Rizzo (born September 5, 1998 in Rome ) is an Italian figure skater who starts in a single run .

Matteo Rizzo made his debut at European Championships in 2016 and World Championships in 2017 . In 2018, after three second places in a row, he defeated Ivan Righini in the national championships for the first time and took part in his first Olympic Games as Italian champion . A little later he was the first Italian to reach the podium at the Junior World Championships (bronze) in Sofia .

Rizzo's international breakthrough came at the 2019 European Championships in Minsk , when he surprisingly won the bronze medal. After disappointing Italian championships, in which he had to admit defeat to sixteen-year-old South Tyrolean Daniel Grassl , he was in top form at the European championships. With a personal best of 165.67 points for his freestyle to a Queen Medley, Rizzo improved from tenth to bronze. He opened with a four-way toe loop and received top marks for all of his pirouettes.
