The Mattersburg Rocks basketball club is a Burgenland basketball club from Mattersburg , which was founded in June 2005 by former players from UBC Mattersburg .

The club played in the 2006/07 season in both the Burgenland and Lower Austrian regional basketball leagues.

In the 2011/2012 season, the championship title in the 2nd Bundesliga was the greatest success in the club's young history. In the following season, the Rocks defended their championship title in the 2nd Bundesliga with two clear victories in the final series against the Basket Flames. In the 2013/2014 season, the "three peat", that is, winning the championship title three times in a row, was achieved in the 2nd Bundesliga. For the first time, the champions of the 2nd Bundesliga were eligible for the promotion games to the Admiral Basketball Bundesliga (ABL). The Rocks competed against UBSC Graz and Chin Min Dragons St. Pölten. After two wins and two defeats, the BKM reached 2nd place in the relegation and thus remains in the 2nd Bundesliga. Graz as the first of the relegation remains in the ABL and St. Pölten is relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga.

In the following years the playoff of the 2nd Austrian basketball league was always reached. The Mattersburg Rocks were always eliminated in the semifinals.

In 2018 a new board with chairman Corey Hallett took over the management of the association. In terms of sport, the club was still one of the top teams in the 2nd Bundesliga.

A restructuring in the Austrian basketball association meant that the two top basketball leagues (Basketball Superliga BSL and Basketball Second League B2L) were reorganized in the 2019/20 season.
