Matthew Brzezinski

Matthew Brzezinski (born October 7, 1965 in Montreal , Canada ) is an American author and journalist.

Life

Brzezinski is the nephew of Zbigniew Brzeziński , former security advisor Lyndon B. Johnsons and Jimmy Carters . Brzezinski is the cousin of TV journalist Mika Brzezinski , military expert Ian Brzezinski and Mark Brzezinski . Matthew Brzezinski graduated from McGill University in 1991 and then began writing in Warsaw as a journalist for The New York Times , The Economist and The Guardian .

In the late 1990s, he was a reporter for the Wall Street Journal in Moscow and Kiev . Back in the United States, Brzezinski became a writer for The New York Times Magazine , primarily writing about the fight against terrorism after the September 11, 2001 attacks . His work has appeared in many other publications such as The Washington Post Magazine , the Los Angeles Times , and Mother Jones .

Matthew Brzezinski lives in Manchester-by-the-Sea , Massachusetts with his wife and three children.
