Matthias Bolte-Richter (short Matthi Bolte ; born October 28, 1985 in Bielefeld as Frederick Matthias Benjamin Bolte ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). Since May 2010 he has a seat in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

Bolte obtained his Abitur in 2004 at the Hans-Ehrenberg-Schule in Bielefeld- Sennestadt . First, he enrolled at the University of Bielefeld for jurisprudence , then switched to the study program Political Science and acquired in 2008 a bachelor . He is currently completing a degree in sociology with the goal of a master’s degree .

In 2002 Bolte came to Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen, where he helped set up the Green Youth in Bielefeld. In 2004 , at the age of 18, Bolte became the youngest member of the city ​​council of Bielefeld . Also in 2009 he obtained a mandate for the city council.

In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2005 , Bolte ran in the constituency "Bielefeld II" , where he received 6.2% of the vote and was defeated by Rainer Lux (CDU). Up to and including 2005 there was only one vote in the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia, which counted for the direct candidate and the state list. In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2010 , Bolte ran for the direct mandate in the constituency “Bielefeld I” , where he received 18.2% of the first votes, but was defeated by Günter Garbrecht (SPD). Bolte received his state parliament mandate above number 14 on the state list. In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2012 , Bolte again moved into the state parliament over 14th place on the list. In his constituency "Bielefeld I" Bolte received 17.2% of the first votes; the constituency went again to Günter Garbrecht of the SPD. Even in the state elections in 2017 - despite the Greens' losses - his 14th place on the list was again enough for a return to the state parliament. In the constituency of Bielefeld I this time he only had 11.1% of the first votes.
