Matthias Blazek (* 1966 in Celle ) is a German homeland researcher and journalist .

Life

Matthias Blazek spent his youth in Hanover and passed his Abitur examination at the Luther School there in 1987 .

From 1987 to 1999 he served as a telecommunications operator in the German Armed Forces , including five years, 1994–1999, with the German military representative in France , based in Fontainebleau . In the years 1999 to 2002 he completed his studies at the Lower Saxony University of Applied Sciences for Administration and Justice in Hildesheim . Today he lives in Adelheidsdorf with his wife and three children .

Blazek has been a volunteer councilor since 2001 , initially as a member of the SPD . From 2006–2011 he headed the finance committee of the Wathlingen joint municipality and was initially parliamentary group chairman of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen und Bürger für Adelheidsdorf, Nienhagen and Wathlingen (BfANW) group in the joint municipal council. Since his departure from the BfANW in January 2013. He is chairman of the group Alliance 90 / The Greens in the Council of the Joint municipality Wathlingen, in Adelheidsdorf he has first as party-less member of the faction Blazek / Twelkemeyer Group, now as a party member of Alliance 90 / The Greens brought into the work of the Council. Until the local elections in Lower Saxony in 2016 , he was the second deputy mayor of the Adelheidsdorf community.

Since 1997 Matthias Blazek has written numerous books on local history and scientific articles. From 2007 to 2008 he was editor at Celler Blickpunkt . Articles by him also appear in the Cellesche Zeitung , in particular the special supplement Sachsenspiegel .
