Matthias Premm

Matthias Premm (born August 12, 1890 in Muhr im Lungau , † December 20, 1973 in Salzburg ) was an Austrian Catholic theologian .

Life

Matthias Premm studied in Rome and in 1912 obtained a doctorate in philosophy at the Gregorian University and a Doctor theologiae at the University of Innsbruck in 1919 . He was ordained priest in 1915. In 1925 he became a private lecturer , in 1928 an associate professor and taught from 1933 to 1946 as a full professor of dogmatics at the University of Salzburg . In 1946 he became canon of Mattsee Abbey .
